Article Sympthsis

The article "Keeping Voluntarism Voluntary," the author Michael Kikuchi rightly speaks out about how we should not make volunteer work compulsive. While volunteer work is a success, we should not let it go to ourselves. The government can not make its people do service work. Some say that it is legal for congress to make volunteer work compulsive, because congress has the right to raise an army; however, this is a weak case because volunteers are not in ext ream necessity,a nd they are not a army. Furthermore, the constitution Furthermore, the Constitution forbids states from forcing its people to program services for the government.

Compulsive volunteer work goes against the meaning of being a volunteer. A volunteer has a special kind of character. They want to be tree, unlike someone required to be there.
